OK, so which is it? [Correction]

CORRECTION:
In my haste, I overlooked the difference in the year. My thanks to the alert reader who pointed this out. The correct information is that public trust for FOX News has declined in 2011.

My apologies,
Raul

OK, so which is it? In the span of a week, Public Policy Polling did an apparent 180 on its reporting of FOX News. Is this some kind of test of how media will spin a story? Does the left hand not know what the right hand is doing at PPP? The only thing that seems certain is that any survey data coming from these folks seems dubious.

Our Second Annual TV News Trust Poll
PPP's annual look at the public's trust in various TV news outlets finds that Fox News' credibility is on the decline, that the traditional networks are seeing an up tick in their numbers, and that PBS is at the top of the heap.

Fox leads for trust
Americans do not trust the major tv news operations in the country- except for Fox News.

Our newest survey looking at perceptions of ABC News, CBS News, CNN, Fox News, and NBC News finds Fox as the only one that more people say they trust than distrust. 49% say they trust it to 37% who do not.

Um why don't you look at the years on the two posts. One is from 2011 and 2010. It's an annual poll. Fox went down over the course of the year.

I don't normally respond to anonymous comments but I will make this exception.

Thank you for pointing out my oversight. I should have paid closer attention. The post will be corrected shortly.

I don't trust Fox. Too liberal.

That makes two of us, Brian -- even if it is for different reasons.
