Tea Party Leader Reveals The Core of the Movement

Tea Party leader Brian “Sonny” Thomas of Springboro Ohio just could not help himself. Ecstatic about the upcoming rally where a long list of Republican candidates were flocking in hopes of spooning up some of the Tea Party froth, Thomas vented his personal feelings in a Twitter statement:

"Illegals everywhere today! So many spicks makes me feel like a speck. Grr. Where's my gun?"

Give Mr. Thomas credit. Rarely has the ethos of a movement been so aptly characterized. Because when you strip away all the goofy outfits and misspelled signs, the Tea Party is little more than a group of people terrified of change.

That fear is being fueled by others with more sinister agendas. And that does not bode well for the future of the US.

Thomas is a lone jackass/whacko who has been condemned by practically everyone associated with the Tea Party, many of whom are Hispanics... one was, in fact, quoted in the article you linked to...

Moreover, Tea Party activists aren't afraid of "change." Let's be more specific: they're afraid of taxes... and, yes, many of them are afraid of big government.

And considering how well big government worked out for, well, Cuba with its murderous, racist (yes, racist, look it up) regime, I can't blame them for being a little wary of big government.
